Stopnje jakosti asistence/prestavljanje "hitrosti"
-
Vedno pozorno spremljajte promet, vse udeležence in razmere v prometu ter skladno z razmeram prilagajajte vašo vožnjo in hitrost. Pri vožnji s kolesom morate upoštevati vse veljavne cestno prometne predpise (CPP).

Vozite odgovorno!

Motor Assistance Levels
The electric bike is equipped with an electric motor that assists you while you pedal.
There are four levels of motor assistance. You can adjust the assistance level using the – / + buttons on the control module in the center of the handlebars. The selected level, from 1 to 4, is shown on the display.
If no assistance level is shown on the display, the motor is not providing assistance.
The control module—and therefore the motor—should normally be switched on and off manually. However, the system will automatically switch off after a certain period of inactivity.
Even so, when returning the bike, we recommend that you switch off the control module, which will also switch off the motor.
The control module also displays the battery charge level using six bars.
Under Slovenian road traffic regulations, the POSBikes electric bikes are configured so that the motor only activates and assists you while you are pedalling. The maximum assisted speed is limited to 25 km/h.
The bikes do not have a throttle. The motor only operates when you turn the pedals and propel the bike yourself. A bike with a throttle that could propel itself without pedalling would, under Slovenian law, be classified as a motor vehicle rather than an electric bicycle.
Tips for Safe and Efficient E-Bike Riding
- When starting your ride, always set the motor assistance level to 1 or 2. When the battery is fully charged and the assistance is set to the highest level (4), the motor can provide a sudden burst of power. This can be particularly surprising when starting from a complete standstill and could cause you to lose control of the bike.
- Once you have reached a comfortable speed, have full control of the bike, and there are no immediate obstacles, slow-moving road users, heavy traffic, or situations requiring you to stop quickly, you can gradually increase the assistance level.
- Use assistance levels 3 or 4 when riding on open cycle paths, roads, or areas with good visibility.
- When riding uphill, use the lower assistance levels—1 or 2. This is similar to driving a car uphill, where you would shift into a lower gear. Using assistance level 3 or 4 in these situations may cause permanent damage to the electric motor.
- The selected assistance level affects battery range and operating time. Using level 4 significantly reduces the range and battery life, while using level 1 significantly increases them. When riding an electric bike, adjust the assistance level according to the terrain and conditions, as well as how long or how far you want to ride.
- Electric bikes can be returned to any available docking station. After the bike is locked into the docking point, it may automatically begin charging if the battery is not sufficiently charged. A flashing blue light on the docking station button indicates that charging is taking place. Before leaving the station, always check that the bike is securely locked in place.
⚠️ IMPORTANT!
- Before starting your ride, always check that the bike's brakes are working properly. Riding a regular bicycle with faulty brakes is prohibited, and riding an electric bike with non-functioning brakes puts you at serious risk of an accident and potentially severe injury. Riding and using both regular and electric bicycles is at your own risk.
- Anyone under 18 years of age must wear a bicycle helmet when using the bikes and must provide their own helmet.
- Helmet use is also strongly recommended for everyone else.
- Always pay close attention to traffic, other road users, and the surrounding conditions. Adjust your riding style and speed to suit the circumstances, and follow all applicable traffic regulations when cycling.
Ride responsibly!
