Navodila za uporabnike/ User instructions
Kratka navodila in napotki za enostavno izposojo in uporabo koles.
(FOR ENGLISH PLEASE SCROLL DOWN)
Izberite primeren jezik in sledite navodilom.
- uporabite 4 mestno številko/kodo in odklenite dodatno/pomožno ključavnico.

Quick Guide to Renting and Using POSBikes
These are simple instructions and tips to help you easily rent and use a POSBikes bicycle.
Renting a Bicycle
-
Go to the computer terminal (kiosk) with the LCD screen and tap the screen to begin. Select your preferred language and follow the instructions. The system can only be used with a POSBIKES user card or with your username and password.
-
To log in using your POSBIKES card, tap your card on the terminal.
-
Enter your PIN code—the four-digit number you received with your card—and confirm. If you do not have a POSBIKES card, enter your username and password instead.
-
Follow the instructions on the screen to rent a bicycle or use any of the other available services.
-
If you choose to rent a bicycle, wait while the system checks the docking stations and identifies which bicycles are available. The terminal will display numbers from 1 to 10, corresponding to the docking points. The number of docking points at each station—and therefore the number of options shown on the screen—may vary.
-
After selecting a bicycle, wait for the system to process your choice and then confirm it. We recommend checking that the available bicycles appear to be in good working order before making your selection.
-
Once your rental is confirmed, you have 60 seconds to go to the docking point where your selected bicycle is located. Press the silver button, which will be flashing green, to unlock the bicycle.
-
After pressing the button, hold the bicycle by the saddle with one hand and the handlebars with the other. In one smooth movement, gently push the bicycle forward and then pull it backward to release it from the docking point.
-
If, for any reason, you cannot remove the bicycle from the docking point, push the bicycle firmly back into the docking point to make sure it is locked securely, and then repeat the rental process from the beginning.
Returning a Bicycle
After completing your ride, simply—but firmly—push the bicycle back into an available docking point to lock it in place.
Before leaving, always check that the bicycle is actually locked.
-
If the bicycle has been successfully returned and locked, the button on the docking point will light up blue.
-
If the button lights up red, this means that the bicycle has not been inserted correctly. You must repeat the return process.
Important: Your rental credits (available minutes) continue to count down until you successfully return the bicycle.
If all the docking points are occupied when you arrive, or if there are no available bicycles at the station, please either wait for the maintenance service to arrive or go to a nearby station.

Using the Additional / Auxiliary Bicycle Lock
Every bicycle in the POSBikes system is equipped with an additional auxiliary lock.
This is a standard steel-cable bicycle lock that is opened and locked using a four-digit combination code.
Each time you rent a bicycle, the four-digit code for the auxiliary lock is displayed on the terminal screen. If you intend to use the auxiliary lock, make sure you remember the code or save it somewhere.
If you use the Mobiln.si mobile app, the four-digit code for unlocking and locking the auxiliary lock is always displayed at the top of the main screen while you have a bicycle rented.
Examples of When to Use the Auxiliary Lock
1. Temporarily Parking the Bicycle Away from a Station
For example, you may want to stop at a shop, post office, or another destination while your bicycle is still rented.
To secure the bicycle:
-
Use the four-digit combination code to unlock the auxiliary lock.
-
Park the bicycle in a suitable location, such as a designated bicycle rack.
-
Put the bicycle onto its double kickstand.
-
Wrap the auxiliary lock around the bicycle rack and connect the lock again.
-
After locking the bicycle, always scramble/change the numbers on the combination lock so that another person cannot easily unlock it.
-
When you are ready to continue your journey, use the same four-digit code to unlock the auxiliary lock. Remove it from the bicycle rack and reconnect it to the bicycle.
-
Once again, change the numbers on the combination lock.
⚠️ IMPORTANT!
Do not leave the bicycle—even temporarily—in an inappropriate location.
If leaving the bicycle in an unsuitable place results in damage, a fine from municipal authorities, or a fine from the police, you, as the user, are fully responsible.
2. Returning to a Station Where All Docking Points Are Occupied
You may arrive at a station and discover that all the docking points are occupied, leaving you nowhere to return your bicycle.
In this situation:
-
Find a suitable section of the station's supporting frame or support tube.
-
Put the bicycle onto its double kickstand.
-
Unlock the auxiliary lock using your four-digit combination.
-
Wrap the auxiliary lock around the station's supporting tube.
-
If there is not enough space, you may instead lock your bicycle to one of the bicycles already secured at the station.
If you do this, make sure that the other bicycle is also properly locked.
-
When securing your bicycle, make sure it does not partially obstruct a sidewalk or road and does not interfere with pedestrians or traffic.
-
Close the auxiliary lock around the appropriate part of the station or bicycle. Once the bicycle is properly secured, scramble/change the numbers on the combination lock so that a third party cannot easily unlock it.
-
Because the system does not register the bicycle as having been returned in this situation, you must call the user support number and inform them of the station where you secured the bicycle using the auxiliary lock.
⚠️ IMPORTANT — USE OF THE AUXILIARY LOCK IS AT YOUR OWN RISK
If a bicycle secured with the auxiliary lock goes missing, an investigation will be carried out. Depending on the circumstances, the user who secured the bicycle may also be held responsible.
For user support, you can also contact:
Ride and Park Responsibly
When using the POSBikes system, always make sure that:
-
You return the bicycle correctly whenever possible.
-
You check that the bicycle is securely locked before leaving it.
-
You use the auxiliary lock only when necessary and follow the instructions above.
-
You never leave a bicycle where it could obstruct pedestrians, traffic, or public spaces.
-
You always change the combination numbers after locking the auxiliary lock.
-
If you cannot return the bicycle to a docking point, contact user support and tell them exactly where you have secured it.
Thank you for using POSBikes and helping keep the bike-sharing system safe and accessible for everyone.
